- This type of whitening is ideal for anyone looking for immediate results,
in approx 90 minutes.
- Procedure. It begins with a short preparation to cover your lips
and gums, leaving only your teeth exposed. We then apply the ZOOM whitening
gel, which was designed to be used with a special light. The ZOOM gel and
light work together to gently penetrate your teeth. This is done in 3 or 4
intervals of 20 minutes each. A 5 minute fluoride treatment completes the
treatment. Many patients comfortably listen to music during the treatment.
Individuals with a strong gag reflex, or anxiety, may have difficulty
completing the entire treatment.
- Side effects. Sensitivity during the treatment may occur with some
patients. The ZOOM light generates minimal heat which is the usual source of
discomfort.
